Douglas E. Christie is Professor of Theological Studies at Loyola Marymount University. His books include The Insurmountable Darkness of Love: Mysticism, Loss, and the Common Life and The Blue Sapphire of the Mind: Notes for a Contemplative Ecology. His work explores the early foundations of Christianity and connects its spiritual traditions to important issues in our modern world. We speak about a provocative chapter he recently published titled “Healed and Whole Forever: Spiritual Perception in Nature.”
