His books include The Insurmountable Darkness of Love: Mysticism, Loss, and the Common Life and The Blue Sapphire of the Mind: Notes for a Contemplative Ecology. His work explores the early foundations of Christianity and connects its spiritual traditions to important issues in our modern world.
